She joined Penn State in 2006 without declaring a major - she had heard great things about the University and wanted a new experience after living in Indiana. “A lot of people in university stress about not having everything figured out yet or changing majors,” Otero said. She currently runs Brava Studio, a dance and aerial arts studio, in Doha, Qatar, where she lives with her husband, Peter, a 2008 alumnus of the Smeal College of Business.įiorella Otero’s path hasn’t always been the most direct.
